Lo-fi instrumental punk, some of the recordings are pre-digital, (computer recording).

Some of this was recorded on multi track cassette tape recorder. Later it was remastered digital.

Growing up I always loved punk music. In the 80's I was a Skater Punk. I had the launch ramps and pro board a Powell-Peralta board trucks and everything. Back then I got a magazine called Thrasher, it was all about skateboarding, and music. That's where I leaned about Dead Kennedys, The Misfits, DRI. Got them all on cassette tape, and I have them still. I always loved the punk music and got to see some of the best bands. From seeing Minor Threat, to DRI, and I even met Jello Biafra a couple times. I even saw the Ramones a couple times. One of my other favorites was a band my friend introduced me to early on. It was Devo. They played a few times in Akron. I got into the tune Jocko Homo early on, I really liked it, was different. We used to make skateboard videos with punk music as the background music. Riding the ramps I had with my friends.

I got into cassette's tapes early on. Especially when, you stuffed, stuff in the tabs, at the top of the cassette. This enabled the tape to record. Some of my dads tapes got sacrificed in the name of recording. I then got a drum set and more recording equipment. A multi track cassette recorder was used to put down some of these ideas. We got some radio shack microphones and the fractalstudios Punk ep was recorded. The year this tape was made, I mixed down some songs and sent a copy to the WCSB cassette fest. We got a couple of callers to give it 8 out of ten and a couple 10's. Part of the show was added to the album. Making this the 15 year anniversary edition of the album.

I am always making punk music. Back then it was us having fun and rocking out! Mostly it was Mike on guitar, and bass, I was the drummer, and sometimes bass. I always loved the feel of rockabilly, and punk was just that sped up. These are some of the earliest songs we recorded at Fractalstudios. Most of these are Instrumental songs. Only one or two songs have vocals. Mike provided those. This recording has been updated to include some outtakes and other recordings WCSB Cassette fest. These recordings were up on music sites and the web in the past, and a lot was taken down. I reedited remastered this album for digitial. This is lo-fi Punk music at its best. The Punk Ep. name says it all. It was a name thought up for the WCSB cassette fest in 2005. The Punk EP was given 4 eight-out-of-ten for the WCSB (Cleveland State broadcasting) Cassette Fest. the Punk Ep. is a lo-fi instrumental punk band with punchy sped up Buddy Holly / Beach Boys stile punk guitar licks, written by lead guitarist Mike Markowski. Mike M. also does drumming, as well as bass on the Punk EP. album. Mike is from other bands such as like the Pinheads, Mc Fly, and his newest band called Nightmare at Hanging Rock with Vocals by Darin Kapplin. Check them out! The man who gives this band its hard hitting, up beat drum sound is Fractal. Fractal also does the production, as well as the recording for the Punk Ep. as well as production of most of the bands at Fractal Studios. Fractal has been influenced by Music such as punk, rock, and metal since birth, and is the sole proprietor of Fractal Studios. Fractal is also from other bands such as Mc Fly, Chode and many others bands at Fractal studios. A special thanks to Flem for bass on songs 1 and 7 and guitar on song 9. Get Your Dam Filthy Hands Off My EP is as garage Punk as it gets. It's a lo-fi Punk band with hard hitting drums and Buddy Holly stile guitar work, Reminiscent of old Ramones, and sped up Buddy Holly licks, but has a stile all their own.
